The distinguished playwrights pictured below have all been honored by the William Inge Theatre Festival.  Interviews with each honoree were conducted, beginning in 1987.  A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has funded the digitizing of early interviews and the creation of this site.  Click on a playwright’s image to access a list of interview topics, a transcription, and a streaming video link.  This site was originated in 2005 and is a work in progress.
