Each Semester the Inge Center places two
professional playwrights in a rural public high school to teach
playwriting. Beginning March 10, 2008, the
Playwrights-in-Residence program will be at Independence High School
and will feature Inge House resident playwrights Adam Kraar and
Alice Tuan. During the eight-week classes they offer
between 16 and 20 sessions, culminating in a public reading of the
students' new plays. The public readings will take place at the
William Inge Theatre during the week of May 9, 2008.
