The William Inge Center is dedicated to promote sound practices for effective arts education. In the past, we've been proud to host:
Graduate credit at the William Inge Theatre Festival
Classroom instructors, teaching artists, and others can earn graduate-level units while attending the numerous workshops at the annual William Inge Theatre Festival. A fascinating way to earn continuing education credits. Sponsored in partnership with Wichita State University. Sponsored each year in April at the Inge Festival; contact the box office at (620) 332-5491 for more information.

Inge Center actors have conducted arts education outreach through its touring shows; above is Gregory Henderson in a post-performance talk with students after
Face 2 Face.
The Lincoln Center Institute for Aesthetic Education workshops
On three occasions, the Inge Center has been proud to host master teaching artists from the Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education in New York. They traveled to southeast Kansas to conduct workshops on Aesthetic Education techniques. These dynamic workshops demonstrate what makes a work of art an effective focus of study and supports participants to use works of art and aesthetic education practices in their teaching.
Arts Education touring shows
The Inge Center often produces touring educational shows for school students grade K-12. In the past, the shows have been Face 2 Face (about bullying) and The Pride of Weedpatch Camp, inspired by Dust Bowl migrants, about accepting others who are different. Both shows are by Emmy winning composer Michael Silversher and award-winning playwright Richard Hellesen. Both shows qualified for the Kansas Arts on Tour Roster.
