Ever Dream of being a writer? 

Ever watch a play or show and think to yourself that you could have written a better story or more believable lines?  This is your chance to hone those skills and reach for the dream!  Professional Playwrights Richard Broadhurst and Rose Portillo take up their residency at the Inge House this weekend as the official Playwrights in Residence for the William Inge Theatre Festival and Independence Community College for the Fall Semester.  As part of their residency program, both Broadhurst and Portillo will be teaching their craft in Topics in Literature: Playwriting at ICC beginning on Tuesday evening, January 13, 2004.

The Winter Semester, three-credit hour class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from January 13 through March 4, from 6:30-9:00 PM in FA114 of the Fine Arts Building.  The course will finish with an open reading of the students short plays at the William Inge Theatre on Thursday, March 4.

There will be a second class running from March to May, dates TBA.
